I'll start the ball rolling.

So yesterday I got told some tyre related guff by the same person, I just replied saying "Really???", as I couldn't bring myself to say you are talking st as he did seem a nice friendly bloke.

1. You need 40 to 50psi in those tyres or you'll pinch flat. He was pointing at the tubeless Maxxis High Roller 2.3" tyres on an AM bike, I thought the 34psi was just fine, could probably gone lower to be honest.

2. You need higher pressure 40 or 50psi for the tyre to dig in so you get more grip while queezing the Maxxis High Roller 2.3 Tubeless inflated to 34psi.

The full quote is you don't need gears on a mountain bike or a cross bike, but that might have been advice from the mentally deranged
