Hi folks, I was wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for some cheapo speakers for the kitchen. I have have the choice of a pair of mission 760i, mordaubt short MS10i or Ms5.30 (with stands). I'm replacing a pair of celestion Ditton 130's as I feel they lack punch. (May even be due to the amp??).

I think I prefer the look of missions but I guess it all about the sound. I'm currently running a cambridge audio amp (2x30/35 watts/c) and Philips cd. I'll probably upgrade the amp at a later date.

So folks, any experience or opinions?

Thanks in advance

Personally the mordaunt shorts.

However, i don't like the mission sound much. All tits and arse with no subltey, and treble like razors. I must be in a minority though, becuase they're popular!

Why just those 3? What's the budget?

Thanks for the replies so far.
The reason I chose these three was they are all about the £20 mark and are all local to me. Budget wise, I don't really have one but I'm a tight old bugger.

I've gone for the MS5.30's. I have various mission speakers at the minute and do quite like them (especially my 734'S) However, for the sake of £20 i thought i would give the MS's a try.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

Totally agree with you, I have never quite "got" the Mission sound, much too harsh for my tastes. As much as i don't like adding more choice to the O/P, I would suggest a second hand pair of Kef q15's, they give a lovely warm sound and the uni-q drivers make placement much easier.
