Bloody hell...Never seen a lining come off a clutch plate like that..Even though its very worn...Good call changing the arm as well, I take it you are going for the modified arm with the strengthening plate to stop the slave push rod going through it....Ziga

Yes may as well. Just enough room to slide the plate out.going to need a to lift the engine up about 2 inches to fit the new one

If you are just doing the plate get an AP racing one for piece of mind. Overkill and not cheap.

I always thought the engine had to come out anyway.

Whenever I read the descriptions that people have put up of changing the clutch by turning the gearbox to point north, getting Jeremy Beadle's hands in or hiring a gynaecologist I always think it'd be easier to avoid the fannying about and just resign yourself to taking the engine out. It's not exactly difficult and gives you chance to fettle a few other bits at the same time.

Hi,

bought an AP clutch kit from RPI, good quality reasonable price.
Combined it with the full metal release bearing from a Griffith but I think it´s not so important.

Cheers

Swingers and Roustabouts... if you take the engine out you need a crane. I used to have to pick up the hire crane in my Wedge, do the job on the Wedge, then return the crane, so it had to go right or else!

Best get an uprated lever arm from TVR power or add a few plates on yourself if you are handy with a welder.
