I have been tugging this knob all day.... wink

I get that you just pull and it should pop off, should being the key word, this thing is not budging

From everything I have read I understand you shouldn't twist it, is this purely to re use the knob, as I am not really not to fussed with the condition of it after as its going in the bin!

If you are talking Monaro it needs a bit of brute force and knock the underside with a wooden hammer

Pull hard and twist back and forth a tiny bit (if you value the knob). Try not to hit yourself in the face/hit the headliner when it finally comes!

Aren't there a couple of tie wraps/cable ties between the leather boot and the gearknob? I usually cut them off.. that normally helps.. then put some new ones on afterwards.

I thought I'd pop this up incase anyone else was looking to remove the shifter and read my troubles and got worried!

Mine was glued with a hell of a lot of glue! I have no idea what was used but it took me a good hour with hand tools, destroying the knob and managing to cut all the plastic off
