Cerbera 98 4.5 handbrake cable, is there alternative part number for this? I know there isn't one on the approved list already made. Would the pug one fit off the 605? Also the aluminium hub back plate this must be a tvr part?

I read somewhere that this was a late 1980's Ford Fiesta handbrake cable. Can't remember where I saw this though. Yes - pretty sure the backing plate must be TVR part

Pretty sure the alum backplate has to be Cerb specific as the 3 location holes have to line up with the hub mounting.

Be prepared to grind/ file the ends of the cable down to the right thickness!

Thanks greenracing, iv done abit of research today and found it looks very similar to a ford cosworth one, on the 98 onwards cerbs the cable length is 122inches? And is this measured from cable end to cable end?

Sorry,

Just have to hijack this topic to say THANKS to Tanguero for his comments on this thread

Saved me today, thought I was going to have to replace the handbrake cable - turns out the jubilee clip works a treat, although it is a terrible job trying to get it on the cable. MOT due one week today so hoping it passes. If I ever meet you I definitely owe you at least one beer!!
