To cut a long story short,I bought a cat D Chimaera 500 of them to convert to a racer here in NZ.
When we started pulling it to bits we found the chassis was twisted a good two inches.
Without hesitation Tom at Bellhill offered to pay to have it staightened as this was overlooked by themselves and more of a worry the insurance company who claimed it did not sustain any chassis damage.
So now I have one very staight freshly painted chassis.

Racer? Cool. Do post some pics when it's built.

I'm just thankful that the Chim seems to have lost its engine in the process

Indeed - praise where praise is due. I've dealt with Tom & his brother at Belhill in the past & found it to be a thoroughly decent set up. They do what they say, no hassle, no question. These are the sort of people you want to deal with in any walk of life.

I have a close ratio gearbox from Bellhill, via a pal of mine, it didn't cost anywhere near the £2300 quoted for a new one!!
