Alfa Romeo Spider in Zoe Yellow
Discussion
Having just changed jobs which meant I could say goodbye to the Passat Rep mobile I went looking for a convertible, having set my sights on a Red Audi S5 costing £25k the wife suggests saving some money to pay for our 3 week holiday to the USA and my trip to Vegas with the boys ;P
So I took another look for a cheaper runabout and found a Yellow Spider with 45,000 miles two owners and garaged, it wasn't being used having only cover 100 miles in the last 12 months and looked lovely
the yellow isn't every ones cup of tea but I hate boring colors, the only problem was the car was in Falkirk Scotland and I live in London!
Having agreed the price of £2,500 I purchased a train ticket and started the 5 hour train journey! the seller met me t the station and the weather was nice enough to have the roof down (baring in mind this is Scotland and it was March!)
The seller was telling the truth and the car was as sound as he said it was so I parted with my money and started the drive back to London all 400 miles of it in an Alfa which had only covered 100 miles in the previous 12 months!
I'm happy to say that the only problem I had was a speeding ticket
just leaving Scotland passing Ecclefechan I thought I would see if there was any vibrations so took it to 90 MPH and went past a police car!!
I have started to detail the car and wax the bodywork but it already looks amazing.
The only downside is I met someone with a 3.0 V6 Spider and it sounds so much nicer so i'm on the lookout for an upgrade!
