Just checking this is a fee on top of price paid that the buyer then pays the auction house ? Cheers
Yes

I think Bonhams has made a mistake here and only mentioned the Automobilia Buyer's Premium which is this very high rate (and for watches, jewellery etc). Another June Motor Cars catalogue I have has the - still high - rates of 15% on the first £50k, then 12% from then onwards to the hammer price. Plus 20% VAT on this premium (not the entire price although in some exceptional circumstances this might occur).
Amazing - roughly a £K 30 premium on top of a car selling at £K 200 - that's quite a fee

Dont worry, the person that really wanted a lhd, sepia brown car with non original seats, a mixed restoration history but much remedial work with uk names only had to shell out £130k. As the auctioneer said, bargain!
I've changed my mind : I'll take yours off you for £K 120 , but only to help you out - I don't really want it
What was the reserve on the black one , do you know ?

Sold for £393,500 inc. premium (~US$ 620,000/556,000 Euro) by Bonhams at Goodwood today.
Puzzling. That's LHD '73 2.7 RS Touring money.http://www.coys.co.uk/auction.php?itemID=6337&...
I assume the previous owner plus RHD made all the difference there. I wonder if it went to Asia / Hong Kong?

Dunno guide was 250-300. It was purchased I recall in 2013 from paul stephens for something like 85-95. I remember speaking to him about from Heathrow airport before i bought mine. It has been restored by a proper outfit. It's got nice heritage and all that but even so. A new ceiling.
