There was quite a bit of roadworks in Le Mans / Arnage last weekend too. Looks like the are rebuilding a roundabout etc. Can't remember where exactly, but it was on my satnav route!

Having said that I'm sure there's always been some sort of road dug up every year I've been to Le Mans. You would think they might schedule it for a week after their biggest event of the year!

Well, this is France we're talking about.

The things they do well, they do very well.

But the things they do badly, they do terribly badly :P

Bridge is fixed by all accounts. Im going to risk it. Probably reach rouen around mid day wednesday so shouldn't be too bad.

Same same, what will you and your party be driving? We will be in a Saab 900 cabrio and an A5 cabrio.

Came through Roeun without a problem yesterday, bridge open.

As for Le Mans itself, as you head down off the ringroad you are straight onto the tram works. Single lane each way:

R/works reported on the A28, just south of Junct 19 at Alencon, due to last until 15th June...!

No idea how it's affecting traffic, yet.

It was fine for the test weekend, not that long and just down to 55 mph for a few minutes. It will probably be a bit busier this week though!
