Is it possible to have the fans switch on earlier than they do now which today they came on about 90
Sitting in rearly heavy and steaming hot traffic jam temp rised to 100 so I switched off and then expansion tank started to steam and bubble should I of allowed the engine to run and let the fans cool down engine

I would have left her running, the gauge softer over read anyway.

By switching her off you would actually increased the temp round things like the liners and cylinder heads due to a lack of flow.

Book says to pull over and stop at 105 dog I think.

You can buy a chip for the ECU that switches the fans on earlier, they are available from Joolz AKA Spitfire4v8 on here, takes 10 minutes to fit.

My suspicion is that lowering the fan threshold may mask underlying issues, which is why I elected not to have the mod when my car was mapped by Joolz.

I left it running for 20 mins and waited for fans which both came on as temperatures reached 90 degrees and low and behold temps dropped to near normal
So the world is still good

Download RS-AJP off the Play store and have that running in traffic.. The gauges themselves tend to over-read.

Was the EPROM image for this ever released (or the byte changes to the EPROM code that affect it)?

I had a quick look on Joolz's site (if http://www.kitsandclassics.co.uk/engine-ecu/ is the right place) and it doesn't seem to be offered at the moment

However I do have a couple of EPROM programmers for the 80's arcade machines that I can burn 27C256 with, so can burn and test if any images were ever shared

74.2 degrees the fans came on using the new software
But dash gauge read 80ish degrees
