My Tuscan has picked up a misfire.
It is effecting cylinders 2 and 5 which just happen to be a pair in the coil I pack.
I have ruled out leads by swapping them to others and the fault has stayed with the same terminals on the coil pack.
I suspected the coil pack so replaced it but the fault has stayed.
I have also checked the connector to the coil pack and have found that three of the four connectors are 12v (this being the main 12v feed and two of the trigger wires) the fourth is practically dead (0.09v) but drops to zero when the ignition is off.
If there was any logic to it the dead feed would correspond to the coil for cylinder 2 and 5 (I.e. It is the furthest right on the connector).
I have disconnected and reconnected the ECU and have also tried to undo and redo the main engine loom to body connector but it is very stiff and I don't want to break it. I have also wiggled the main cables under the bonnet whilst keeping an eye on the voltage to see if there are any breaks but to no avail.
Anyone got any other ideas or am I looking at a failed ECU, and if it is failed anyone got a spare (it is the wedge three connector version) that they are looking to sell?
