Now then, can anyone remember if the hypermarket has one of those machines that takes all your unwanted coins and converts it to note cash or credit to spend in the shop?

I don't see why it wouldn't seeing as it has just about everything else including fishing rods and the occasional Toro Rosso...

Only from a decade plus of keeping left over euro change (in case it came in useful) has left me with a bag of coins which will literally tear a hole in my pocket.

It would be very useful for the essential "Carrfour will provide" run, but I don't want to make a prat of myself trying to pay for shopping with shrapnel smile

Couple of years ago, I used my shrapnel bag to pay a €90 speeding fine. Took chap a while to count, while his mates were getting photo's sat in my mates Aston.

He gave me back the bag, a couple of euros and the Carrefour trolley token, with a smile.
