Hi all, any tips for removing doors and refitting? I'm currently making up some speaker pods for the doors so need to run speaker cables into them. The most logical thing I can think of is to drill new holes near to where the door loom runs but to get access I'll need to take the door off I think.

I did consider trying to use some unused pins in the loom itself but having looked their aren't any spare pins installed and no idea where I'd get them from, I'd also be fairly limited in cable size too.

If somebody who has door speakers retro fitted could post a pic of how the cable is routed that would also be a huge help

I did mine without taking doors off - just drilled a hole straight through. I've heard lining up doors can be a pain so I didn't fancy it!

Sorry it is hard to see where the cable goes into the door - I couldn't get a better pic

Great thanks for that, and should make life a lot easier. Did you drill through with the door closed or open? Assume you went through both door and body in one go so it was lined up?

I can't remember - I expect open so I could see at which point it would be going through and ensure no costly mistakes - you need some slack in the cable anyway to allow for the door to be opened without issues so it doesn't matter if it doesn't perfectly line up. I expect I drilled the hole in the body first and then poked the drill through - lined it up where I wanted the hole in the door and then drilled that.
