You need to put pictures of them up so half the people on here can tell you how you're ruining your car and that you are a chav.
Then the other half can tell you it's your car and you should do whatever you want. These people are right.
Not sure about all that technical stuff though
you are absolutely 100% correct.....it is the OP's car and if he wants to make it look like 19 YO blinged up Vauxhall Corsa that's his right !! Then the other half can tell you it's your car and you should do whatever you want. These people are right.

LOL Michael, you are bad, but that hit the funny bone this morning

With regards to the original OP, NO that size of wheel/ tyre is not recommended by A.M. for the Vantage due to potential fouling of arches, suspension and it will affect the car's dynamics........
Despite its beauty, the Vantage IS a sports car and its power to grip and ride - handling balance has been carefully developed by experts. While it's fine to tweak things to personal taste (more harcore drivers spec, cosmetic additions, etc), and I agree bigger wheels look sexy, you don't want to enhance one area and mess up another in the process IMO. Unless you don't want to do the B-road blast thing and simply drive around town looking good (depending on your choice of wheel
)Right I'll pop on my tin hat and leave quietly now

Have your custom made by Q, pipe and slippers holder arrived yet?

Yep.......had these made and fitted by Q .........but I'm not 19YO and no desire to turn my Aston into a Vauxhall Corsa lookalike

These are very well made points. To be totally honest, the 20s on my car coupled with sports suspension make the ride firmer than some would like. This size of the wheels especially on heavily cambered roads do mean you have to have both hands on the wheel at high speeds to really take the car by the scruff of the neck.

Hmm, perhaps we shouldn't ask what you would ordinarily be doing with the other hand then?

Am looking at getting something different and wondered if someone could tell me if these would fit and if so what size tyres I would need,
WIDTH(s):
9J FRONT-10.5J REARS
SIZE:
20"
OFFSET:
20-45 FRONT - 20-42 REARS
FITMENT(PCD):
5x114
Thanks in advance
Several people mount DBS wheels on their Vantages and they fit fine according to the owners (and look OK fitment wise). Relative to those, your proposed wheels...WIDTH(s):
9J FRONT-10.5J REARS
SIZE:
20"
OFFSET:
20-45 FRONT - 20-42 REARS
FITMENT(PCD):
5x114
Thanks in advance
Front: protrude outwards 3 mm and inwards 9 mm
Rear: protrude outwards 6 mm
These are small changes compared to the DBS wheels by themselves and would be no problem on a DBS, but they may be too much for the Vantage when superimposed onto the DBS sizes.
When I had custom wheels made by Rimstock (Astons wheel maker), I wanted the wider stance some used spacers for but didnt want the spacers. The offset limits were determined by Rimstock and if I remember correctly, the maximum outward over stock was 12mm (-12) front and 18mm (-18) rear. Inward offset was not recommended.
Stock figures are:
19x8.5, 235/40/19 +50.3 front offset
19x9.5, 275/35/19 +62.5 rear offset
68.4mm Centerbore
5x114.3 bolt pattern
