Currently fitting a new Alarm and Immobiliser which came with new Key Fobs and Touch Keys. In the kit is a replacement Touch Key socket but I am wondering two things regarding this if anyone knows the answers please?

1. Is this socket just a generic item that transmits the signal from the Key to Unit and so if mine is ok I don't need to swap it over?

2. If there is a code reader in the socket and I need to change it over. How do I get the thing out of the dash without stripping the whole dash pad out? Is there an easy way that a dumbo like me is missing?

Cheers again

I was hoping for that. Cheers! It used to work with the old system so the pins must be good. One less thing to worry about!
