CLK GTR to be auctioned at Bonhams Goodwood FOS 2015

I couldn't disagree more! The F1 is a proper GT car, the CLK is a homologation special absolutely unsuited to the road. I have a personal axe to grind with the GT1 homologation specials as the whole scene imploded within three years, just at a time when sports car racing was recovering in the wake of Group C.

Oh and the F1 GTR sounds infinitely superior. Each to his / her own, though.

Awesome car to pose in, for presence and sheer size...until it rains and you either need to find shelter, or get soaked. The roadster has no roof arrangement whatsoever as far as I know!

I'd never take a CLK over an F1 - but the Mercedes would be an awful lot cheaper, and (since such things do matter to some people) is definitely a far rarer car.

Tiff drove one for top gear. In the snow. Worth watching it again on youtube. I agree with the sentiment about the BPR Global Gt series ruined by porsche then merc when the likes of lister, lotus etc should have been cometitive
