Retrofitting Sports Chrono to a Boxster Sypder
Discussion
A few questions on Sports Chrono (SC) on a Sypder manual
Can it be retrofitted (presumably without the wart)?
Can anyone tell me the benefits of Sports Chrono on a manual Spyder?
Does it allow an intermediate level of traction control? ie, without SC, there is on or off.
Thanks in advance.

yes more than every thing off, but not as much as PSM off, every thing normal and PSM is always flashing and is rubbish.
but sport on and PSM off seems to give even more as PSM cuts back in to early even when off, but a bit later if sports on also
if that makes sense !
yes you just get a new button, and new software.
the throttle is perfect though in sports mode, it feels a bit dead out of sport imo.
you need to try my car with it's upgrades it's amazing ;-) the manifolds have given it a new lease of life in the mid range and sound.

Phone around a few OPCs. Can it be retrofitted (presumably without the wart)?

When I retrofitted Sport mode to my Cayman R I was quoted various prices from £580 up to £900, I kid you not.
Swindon was the cheapest but Reading price matched them in the end.
I specifically didn't spec it from new since I never liked the look of the wart in my 911 when I had it.
