I have just noticed the automatic hyperlinks in topics that lead directly to the classifieds page... whilst this is clever, there are two exceptions that may need to be made:

'is' and 'up' .... these are commonly used words and linking to the Lexus / VW page I don't think is hugely necessary...

I came here to post exactly about that. Looks like poor highlighting when you were studying a book in school.

Mid word looks very clumsy.

Glad I'm not the only one to notice this. It's annoying me far more than it should.

Hoped others would be complaining about this!

I used ABP but hasn't block them. Will have to go fiddle in the settings because it is annoying.

I'm having the same issue...it's only just appeared. And I'm not a fan of Lexus's...

Incognito'd it to get a 'logged out' PH with no adblock....holy hell, that's fking annoying. Whoever decided those were a good idea needs fking shooting. The thing I loved about PH was that it used to be free of all this kind of st.

How long before we have signatures for each user, sponsored by 'XYZ' company?

*goes back to adblock'd ad-and-link-free bliss*.

I'm not seeing any of this and yet I don't have any kind of ad blocking software. I'm using IE11 so maybe PH hasn't bothered adding the new advertising to IE11 yet?

I've resisted using ad-block on PH for many years, but skimlinks etc are too far imo. They're one of my very favourite pet hates.

Confirmed. These things have been bugging me all evening. Didn't realise I wasn't logged in. Did so and they're gone.

Horrible spammy internal links.

Also what's with it looking like you're logged out but when you click the log in link it automatically logs you in?

Also no you can't know where the fk I am.

Only started noticing these this morning and as has been said words like 'is' and 'up' are very annoying. I immediately read them as over emphasized in the SAME way that some PEOPLE use capital letters unnecessarily IN posts and your mind makes them stand OUT more. If it stays as is, READING the forums will be much less enjoyable.

a) PH always logs me out, so I'm constantly faced with them.

b) There is a thread in the Formula 1 section with 16 posts and 34 links to McLaren F1s in the classifieds, of which, of course, there are none.

It's a little bit OTT.
This

It's a fking joke.

In one of the Le Mans threads I have been directed to both a Nissan Sunny and a Bentley Mulsanne, whilst I was looking for links to the weather and a fking bar.

At least have some way of saying its an ad rather than a link that someone has posted.

And yes I know that when I log in they disappear which is fine if the site didn't log me out every 5 fking minutes I've been a loyal supporter of this site for ages but this is getting too much to be fking bothered with.

Right whinge over, I doubt you'll do anything about it, I doubt you even care, but I don't care i'm off to Le Mans

Have you tried explicitly logging out via the link, then logging back in (ticking the remember me box) . That solved the issue for me and pretty much everyone else having that problem.
