We are at Dover. Had to queue from the roundabout as you enter the port itself, probably took about 20 minutes to get through passport control. That was at 7am this morning.

Onboard the 8:25 and looking forward to a good trip down.

Anyone been through on Eurotunnel yet? Likely to take longer or straight through? (API completed)

Will be at the Tunnel at around 6.30pm tonight so will report back once through the queue. So I will update around 7.30pm or so.

Went on the tunnel a month or so ago, going at around 8 was easy, coming back was bloody horrendous. Queues were massive, we actually missed the train we were meant to be on & caught the one after. This was around 18:00 & just after a bank holiday.

Terminal empty, got an earlier crossing. No passport check leaving got wavers through by UK and French Police. They did appear to be checking every caravan though.

I went a few weeks ago and the Tunnel out was ok, with hardly any delay. Coming back on the Sunday a couple of weeks later was pretty bad and some people certainly missed their alloted train. Huge queues and the Brits were checking every occupant, including small children.

I went through this morning. The Dartford bridge was flowing freely - th first time ever for me and there were no delays at the Eurotunnel (10:20 departures) the terminal was very quiet though.

Overall, the easiest journey I have had to, and through, the tunnel.

I travelled on the eurotunnel weds morning, no problem whatsoever, we were due to meet up with the rest of our group on the French side as they took the Dover to Calais ferry. They weren't allowed on because of the queue and had to get a later boat. Seems to be because the ferry companies aren't asking for API before departure.

Couple of funny tales to tell re Boarder controls or how to do it.
Really good friend had just left Calais bound for a Swedish race event. He had forgotten to lock the trailer after the dock side check. There is a largish window in the front of the trailer through which he saw three darkish faces .Carried on for another 150 ish kilometers before stopping at Luxembourg for fuel, where fortunately a police van was doing speed checks.Only three immies but every little helps. They are on the lookout for English plates so anything larger than a car make sure it is well and truely locked!!

It seems entirely random then as at 0820 yesterday we had a swift uk passport check but no french check. Aside from the truck in front nearly taking out the height barrier, no other delays :-)

Went through Eurotunnel 7.30 Thursday morning - no problems, no passport check. Only slight delay was some muppet trying to operate the automatic check-in. You do wonder how hard it can be.
Roadworks all the way down from Calais to Rouen with lanes coned off but no traffic and so no delays. Saw no Dibble but also Brits seemed to be keeping their speed down. Sailed through Rouen mid-morning going alongside railway yards. Now in Reveillon good trip so far.
