Hi Guys,

Im hoping to get a deal done today on a 997 Turbo S that's done 25000 miles. Any ideas what sort of mileage the brakes would need replacing and what the cost will be? Do you think they have already been done with that mileage ?

thanks

I'm having mine changed soon and the quote was 3000€ for front and rear with fluids but a big part of that was the Weissach (Sport) pads. I will probably be buying the discs off the internet.

Ignore what I have just written. I forgot the S has ceramics.

Depends on how it's been used, if it's road driving only then it should need touching for now and a long time to come (i.e. forget about them) if it's seen a fair bit of track action then they probably need checking, but still I wouldn't expect they'd need replacing at that sort of age. I'd been suprised if it's seen much track time it's a turbo not a GT car.

My 39K mile 997.1 Turbo has ceramics, all four discs are like new, front pads just replaced as half worn (recommended), rears will need doing soon. That is mainly road miles and circa 20 laps of the 'Ring.

Also at 38k miles, disks look like new, in for a service this month so pads are a possibility.
