Hi all,

Took delivery of my 2nd Chim last week. 98R 4.0.
Brake fluid warning light has come on,Checked level ans is a little low. Checked sensor and is ok so probarely to do with the rear pads looking a bit low.

Car is due a service but it is booked in for 2 weeks time but want to know what fluid to top up with before the pads and fluid is changed while being serviced. Checked manual and stats Mobil multi purpose Clutch and brake fluid.but everyone seems to grade theres in DOTS. What can i use?.

Last service was at SFR.

Sorry for the lengthy explanation!

I wouldn't top it up. Just leave it. I know the mechanic won't be thanking you for topping it up .. when he squeezes the caliper pistons back the fluid will overflow out of the reservoir if you've topped it up... just gives the mechanic an extra job to do.

Will it be okay to leave?

Doesnt look that low as still plenty of fluid on bottom of sensor.

Just makes me nervous driving a car with a warning light on .

well if there's no obvious feeling of the pedal going down if pressure is applied then there's no leak, so yeah .
