I get your point about perhaps it's a bit young for an old fart like me ........but did you really buy one and if so, where from as I need another one and they are selling at a premium at the moment

With regards to it being better quality than a Tag..........a turd is better quality than a Tag.......so thats not saying much

not sure if it is the same one Michael, his is white, it wont be opened until Saturday, I purchased it from the Pebble website about a month ago.

I got gifted a Pebble Steel a few weeks ago.

Wore it a couple of times and now it's back in the drawer.

I felt a bit silly wearing it.

No, they're not really that bad. But, especially on quartz models, they're only about half as good as the pricing would suggest.

I know that some are ETA - are some now Sellita too?
Some of the higher end ones use their own movement and one that's somehow based on a Seiko design but built/developed further by TAG Heuer. But mostly ETA

They're a mix of ETA, Selita (ETA quality, mostly ETA clones, but should remain available after Swatch shut the door on people) and in-house. Although, as mentioned, their first "in house" was fairly heavily criticised in some circles for being Seiko based.

no thats the old model...this one is not due in the shops for another 2 weeks
