You know those tracks on an album that you think are really good, but were never released as a single, or never did well if released.

I have quite a few but listened to two tonight

(Here comes the) Rain – the Cult – Love
Cat People (Putting out fire) – David Bowie – Let’s Dance

IMO these are the best tracks on each of these albums but hardly ever get played on the radio, do you have any?

That was released on single. I have the 12". Has a great mix on the B side. Revolution was also released on 12".

Funny I'm listening to Revolution now from Rare Cult - the Radio session version

You're right, Rain was relesed but never and did ok IIRC, but I never hear it much on the radio, compared to say Sanctuary

Didn't think anyone played much Cult of any kind on the radio anymore. Not that I listen to the Radio.

No, I don't think it is - Tracks that were not released, released but did not do well, or you never hear on the radio - I have not heard my two on the radio ever!

Oasis, Champagne Supernova. Top tune and don't think it was ever released as a single.

I generally find that the singles are the weakest tracks on an album.

Mind you, that said these days it seems normal to have 4 hits off one album...

i dont believe ive ever heard 'little wing' or 'castles made of sand' on the radio, ive certainly never seen them as singles. a shame as the tracks are quite moving. i suppose though hendrix is more (only?) known for voodoo chile and all along the watchtower.

I haven't heard Something Corporate - Konstantine on the radio, I've read that it's on an album somewhere, but I've searched high and low and that particular album doesn't seem to exist, there's not video, single or anything.

Shame because personally I think it's fantastic.
