Just looked at a lovely S2 111S in excellent condition, 2 owners, 12,000 miles, 2002/02 plate, air-con, hard/soft tops, sports exhaust, tracker.
Only thing missing will be stereo head unit as owner would like to keep the aftermarket one he's installed.
Private sale, he's asking 19,500? Sound about fair?
Subject to getting it checked by a specialist, I'm 99.3% sure I'm going to go for it as I don't think I'll find a better one :-D

Mustard's lot have similar 04 plate cars for £22-23k.
Adrian Blyth have an 02 plate w/o hardtop and maybe not aircon for a shade off £20k.
Hardtop's worth about £5-600 I'd say, so if you compare to the AB one you should be looking at around £18.5-19k I reckon. Aircon, no idea, saps power anyway, Chapman wouldn't approve
I wouldn't expect to pay any premium for the tracker or the zorst.
Without the head unit I'd also be looking at another £3-400 off (which is what it'll cost for a decent one) so were it me I'd want to be paying £18.5ish I guess, £19k only if it was absolutely the best I'd seen and was faultless in a check-up.
Now Mustards gonna come along and tell me that's all BS so just buy it... you're going to anyway!

I thought that the air-con unit can be turned off, giving power back (as with most cars). I believe it is automatically shutoff when the car is at full throttle too.
I had a look at the AB car last week, nice folks...

Thanks for the radio offer too Sim, but I've never been that keen on Sony's as they always seem to have too many fiddly buttons. Good sound quality though...
I like nice big buttons that I can see. Ok, I'll go and get the pipe, slippers and string-backed driving gloves :-o

Evening gents! Cheers Mart, like the pic in your profile too... After chatting with the owner and going over the paperwork etc, I think it's been very well looked after. A few "they're all like that sir" stone chips up front, but I'm not too bothered.
