Anyone had a bad deal with Flux....I insured a black cab for a year as a private collectors item.. sold it after 6 month...Flux advised me that they do not offer refunds on unexpired insurance ... despite not being at risk.....this cannot be right .. ?? would never use them again
Did you read the policy terms & conditions before you took it out?A 8 Manic said:

Quite standard on low cost classic deals. As said, did you check before buying? I've had this problem before. I took my classic off the road and asked if there was any refund (I was under the impression I'd get a pro rata refund for the time I hadn't used minus an Admin charge) Turns out that while this is applicable to regular policies (my insurer being Aegis) it didn't cover the low cost classic one. My own fault for not checking I guess and making an assumption.
It is something I now ask before taking out any policy. While classic policies are on the whole, cheap, it's handy to know that if you ever decide to sell you at least get something back.
Flux are, in my experience, an utter bunch of shysters. Insuring my Impreza with them a couple of years ago was a cheap option, only for the policy to more than double for the following year. After sticking a few "f"'s into them they came back with a cheaper quote, which I enquired as to why I'd not been offered it in the first instance. I got the telephone equivalent to a shrug of the shoulders and went to A plan who've been excellent since day 1.
