First of all this is not a thread slagging off the Sat Nav as despite me expecting it to be as much use as a handbrake on a canoe after reading all the threads about it I found it to be fine & perfectly adequate (alright my Tom Tom is better but that doesn't pop up from the dash smile.

The only issue I have is that the date & time are wrong (half a day ahead) & despite searching the handbook & the settings in the car I can't find how to change it?

I've found the date & time settings but all that does is let me change the format of how time & date is displayed not change the actual time & date.

Any ideas please.

Thanks.

That sounds like the pre-Garmin volvo system. If so, it can't be changed as AM erred in their software for the GPS clock.

I'm pretty sure I had the issue the other way around, my car clock was wrong but the satNav correct. I took the battery off and left the car for an hour or so and then reconnected it all, set the time and everything was back in sync.

(If you have an early model I think I'm right in saying be careful of doing this as your mirrors may stop folding in)

There's a thread on the Aston Martin section of 6speedonline during the past week (headed "Nav system secret menu") that explains how to get into the satnav settings. It involves such things as turning the ignition on and off and locking the doors in some strange sequence, but it works to access a series of menus. I did it myself on my '06 this week.
I didn't try to make any adjustments, but there's a screen headed "3.5 GPS information (1/3)." Section (h) is Date/Time.
As I said, I didn't try to adjust mine, but you might want to poke around there...

Can you post the link to thread, so we don't have to go searching for it? Cheers

Hi I spotted this on the AMOC forum, the chap upgraded the discs and then got access to the date and time. The updated discs are worth doing to get full postcode.

For the DVD based system, the time and date functions in the menu control 12/24 HR and UK/ us date convention. The DVD systems don't have an ETA just an E T to Destination. HDD adds ETA. I was never able to remedy the 12 hr time error but I never used the sat nav gps time relying on the mechanical clock instead. I didn't fiddle in the service menu. It can be quite frustrating to get it to show up!
