Usual number of owners

Usual.
Look at it as having an extra two MOT's a year.
1)Punter sells to garage. Garage gives the car thorough inspection.
2)Garage sells car to new owner. New owner gives car thorough inspection and then a year of love, wraps it up in cotton wool etc. Then repeat step 1.
May '95 993 tubo has 8 previous owners and is in A1 condition.
Buy on condition.

I was a third owner so buyer of my car will be fourth and I am fourth owner of my new one.
My first 996 was lovely and shiny but mechanically needed a fair bit which I negotiated at the buying stage. I then kept every bill and receipt, filed it all away and gave it to the dealer to pass to the next owner. He will get a lavished over bargain (?touch wood!!).
My latest has little or no history apart from a lot of verbal - no hard evidence. As long as it was given the all clear at the pre-purchase inspection I am happy - as I know I am going to lavish care and attention to it.
FPSH means little or nothing.
Obviously we'd all love a one-owner well-loved gleaming machine but unfortunately not too many about!!!

Most 996's are company cars when they start off in life and then sold on to people who have them and then realise what a mistake they have made and rush out and buy a 993
Another thing is that a number of 996's have RMS and clutch problems. Was at a dinner on Friday and one of my colleagues who has a 996 is now onto his 3rd clutch, luckily it is still under warranty. He is now looking to get rid of it and buy something else.
