PSP & the end of 'PSM'.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me please.
I've read online of the demise of PlayStation Mobile and how support for android HAS been killed off and support for Vita WILL be killed off. But I can't seem to find any information as to wether it affects the PSP games that are downloaded through PSN or wether it's just Vita and android affected?
Looking at buying a handheld console for on holiday, during flights and round the pool etc. Now I previously owned a Vita and while it was ok and the graphics impressive, it just didn't suit me. It was too bulky and lacking of games. Before that though, I had a PSP GO! which was great, decent graphics, hugely portable, great battery etc.
So the obvious choice is a PSP GO! But, if the games are being removed from the servers as well as Vita games there's no point whatsoever and I may as well just get a 3DS.
