So after threatening to get the front end re sprayed for the last couple of years, I decided to book it in with Brendan at Concept Performance at the beginning of March. Although the plan was for a standard front end job, I'd always had the idea that a colour change would be nice along with a few front end mods that I'd seen on various cars over the years.

Although I liked the car's colour, Iced Titanium, I'd always thought it was a tad understated for a TVR, so the hunt was on for another colour, although truth be known, it was not a difficult choice as there was always going to be one winner and it was the colour Brendan had painted his Cerbera 5 years earlier, Spectraflair Blue.

In the last year or so I'd discussed on PH replacing the single headlight with a T350 set up, but within the confines of the existing pod, I really did not want to start cutting away at the bodywork, so Brendan had to carry out hours of work getting the moulds just right. During this process he asked whether I wanted to include some sort of LED daytime running light, of course I said yes even though I was unsure.

The next mod we then decided on was to delete the hi beam lights at the bottom of the car, it's an 03 so had the larger lights, these were replaced with black mesh.

A small extended chin spoiler was added, the wheels were repainted, both in black to match the roof and hopefully pull the whole thing together.

Now at this point I will say that I was a little reticent about the LEDs and the deletion of the lights, but now it's done I'm glad It's done, as it is completely unique.

I'm sure some people will hate them, but I'm okay with that.

Ideally at this point I would post up a photo showing the car in its full glory, but it was very overcast and the paintwork would not be done justice, and in fairness to Brendan he deserves a bit of a showcase, as he's had to put up with a lot of st and my inability to make a decision. As I said this picture doesn't do it justice, so if anyone's interested I'll add some more at a later date

Best colour in my opinion!! wink

I went with Spectraflair Lite due to cost but somehow wish i'd gone the whole hog. Definitely get some more pics up as it is, as it's still a great colour without the sunlight!

Hi Rob

Was good to meet you briefly last month/earlier this month at Brendan's. The car looked really nice. That paint colour was really good.

I like that a lot!

I assume Brendan still has the moulds? If so, could he do this for other Tams?

Hi Chris, yes he does and yes he would, when I get time I'll go into a more detail as there's a bit more to it than just aesthetics.........there's also his new front feed CF Airbox under the bonnet, but I'll start a new thread on that a bit later.

I understand, I know full well that even simple mods aren't as straight forward as you may initially think, more so when it comes to changing the front light cluster!

Also very interested in the front feed for the airbox, surely that would give better performance, rather than adding a 'scoop' to the underside?

I like the light delete. Wondering if the air be ducted somewhere useful from there?

Light pod not quite right for me... lemme fix that for ya if I may biggrin

Not sure it suits a double, I think if I go there it will be the jeep led. Each to their own of course smile

Excellent bespoke work as we've come to expect from CP ! You've subtly enhanced the front end and still kept it looking like a Tamora. Good work smile

Thanks for the positive comments, I'm sure Brendan will appreciate it, as Chris W has alluded to, the "journey" to the finished job is never straight forward and for a one man band to spend so much time on a bespoke project like mine is highly commendable, I'm sure Alex would echo these comments, and no, I am not on commission, just a very satisfied customerbiggrin

They remind me very much of the Silverstone Performance headlight upgrade from a decade ago. I liked them then, as they kept the original light covers so didn't interfere with the lines of the front.

Ha, yes that was the very photo that got me thinking about the conversion, I believe Brendan contacted SP to see if they still had the moulds, but apparently not, hence the hours of work spent re-creating them, and as is usual in these cases the hours are never recouped.

I must admit Bob, as a bit of a stubborn mule when it comes to originality, I was expecting not to like the front end. However, it looks fantastic. It gives the front of the Tam an aggression that was perhaps missing in the original design, congratulations!

Looks brilliant that Bob!

All of it looks great! I like the twin lights and lower one removed. 👍

Yes, certainly doable. Also pretty impressive light output. Expensive though.

Like the lower spliter alot. And the twin lights - although the higher main beam light ala SergSC photoshop would be my preference.

I'd also like to delete the front bonnet vents too.
