Service Info help

Apart from oil and filter change (which i do myself) could anybody tell me what exactley you get for your £3 or £400 service charge on a Griff.cheers

I agree with Podie. Having nearly completed the service on my Griff for the first time (last one was done by DG's) I can say that it is time consuming - especially when you consider that you've got to remove the exhaust to get to the transmission bolts (you must do this - I found two out of four bolts on the propshaft flange only hand tight).

I seem to remember DG's telling me that the "standard" time for 6000 mile service is 5 hours, and remember, they know what they are doing!

Seriously I checked and cleaned the spark plugs as we had some running issues and it was hell.
Let the experts do it and relax with a beer.

Its all very well looking at the service schedule, what you gotta ask yourself is :

Has the garage actually carried out ALL of this work. Or am I being ripped off. To pay 3-£400 is enough but you must have confidence in the garage that they are doing a good honest job IMO.

I'm lucky the garage I use is highly recommended by the Norfolk/Suffolk region, this garage have just completed an annual service for me which included stripping down brakes as well as oils/filter and all the rest in the TVR schedule for a very reasonable sum.

Its all about recommendations, but on the other hand if the garage starts slipping word gets around quick, as we all know.
