Hey guys - I looking at getting my hands on a 997 Turbo - am quite keen on the Gen 1, i) for the engine ii) that is where my budget puts me....
But I keen stumbling on the same point - maybe it is just me but the grey facial interior makes the car look quite dated - is there any way/where you can get this resprayed to black?
I read several threads on people who do it themselves but I fear with my limited skills, I may c0ck it all up and make it look amateur....

I agree with you, I think it is better without the Nav unit but unfortunately, most of the Turbo's have the nav unit.....
which makes sense seeing as it was standard on the turbo, you would have to be a bit odd to ask them to remove an option which cost £2k on lesser 997sI like the silver trim in my turbo, breaks up the black interior nicely

I get why some replace it with a more modern nav/ipod/BT unit, but when I was looking for a 997.1 turbo every car had the standard nav unit. All I am saying it was standard fit and there was no alternative so hardly surprising 99% of cars have it.Even then people would put the standard PCM2.1 unit back in when they come to sell
