Hi all
Collected this absolute beauty on Friday evening, have not had a chance to take pictures since collecting it. I have not stopped driving it since collection.
Manual and so involving! so glad I went for the manual...may need an exhaust change in the coming months
I'm liking the quicksilver supersport
I purchased it from Uber GT in Reading and they were absolutely spot on, brilliant customer service and could not pick a better dealer.

Anything you don't like about the car? It was a serious contender for the fleet, but then an opportunity on a V8V came along that was too hard to ignore. And now we are buying a house, so whilst I am keeping the other cars, buying a new/pricier one may not be the cleverest move right now.
Depending on a few other things, the next car choice will be either R8 V10, or F430, manual gearboxes. I am thinking the Ferrari for residuals and being very special, but the Audi for useability (I live in London. so need to get the car through town before accessing good roads at weekends, and I suspect that a 430 and speedbumps may lead to wallet pain)

Not really tbh, maybe I haven't owned it long enough yet but have covered enough miles this weekend to keep a smile on my face.Depending on a few other things, the next car choice will be either R8 V10, or F430, manual gearboxes. I drove a 430 spider before I viewed this and it was fun but not the slickest looking car, not that I care much but the R8's liked by everyone and almost everyone lets you out at junctions or moves out your way.

Silly question, but how does the gearstick feel? Every time I see a picture of it, the knob on the end (not the driver
) looks like a big heavy brutish thing, compared to the car which... isn't.
Suprisingly perfect in shape and feel. It's very grippy and really encourages you to wack it into gear which is required when driving with brutal agression lol

Hi Bob,
Well done on new purchase
I have had mine 2 months and now done 2200+ miles and loving it.... The gear box is great but it just takes a bit of time gel with it !

That is lovely, I was tempted to go for red but all my cars have only ever been black so had to continue the trend :PWell done on new purchase

Do you know of any R8 meets or events?

I organised a small meeting of liked minded people and the white R8 happened to turn up.
