C 320.. Had loads of bother with this..srs light on been back and forth to supplying dealer , decide to just take to other specialist.. Straight away said its seat buckle 37 quid.. But, when on machine codes came up as contaminated air filter. Popped bonnet followed by lots of Tutting.. He recons I need new air intake duct, seals and filter. If I don't replace, oils could drip with a big bill..
So few questions for experts
1. Is this air duct known faults
2. What symptoms blocked filters . Car seems ok running
Thanks in advance

There is a rubber seal which sits in a junction between two sections of the inlet tract above the vee of the engine, which drips oil on tne inlet port shut down motor and kills it. The "upgraded" seal is about £11; that said, even later cars leak here and cause the problem. Replacing the seal is a common recommendation, but I've never known of anything else being required as part of the upgrade. So few questions for experts

I've never experienced blocked filters. I have a hazy recollection the car needs to be told the filters have been replaced, but I could be imagining that.
