1998 R129 - constant interior fan running

Hope someone here can help.

A R129 SL500 - the battery keeps draining. I noticed the other day when I parked it that the interior fan keeps running even with the key removed from the ignition and the car locked.

Clearly the culprit for the draining battery.

Any ideas what might be causing this? A google raises 1 or 2 potential responses... but I am not sure I follow them.

There is a heater blower resistor I had to change on my mercedes that is most likely your issue - at least the symptoms are the same.mine was located underneath the pollen filter in the engine bay.
