As it appears my previous post was removed by PH without explanation, I'll try again, I'm guessing it was construed as advertising.

Whilst having the car re-sprayed I also had a new front feed CF airbox fitted, courtesy of the same person.

The front feed is ducted via a hose from the front right hand mesh where the hi-beam once sat, although I think this hose may have to be replaced by ally at some stage in the future.

Anyone wanting more info about this item please PM me or contact the supplier.

Said airbox...

There are performance gains to be had using it, but you will need to wait a while for that box design to be available.

I have a question regarding the silicon tubes. When the engine sucks air, will this "squeeze" the tube in the center and therefore reduce the section for the incoming air flow?

Sure, that's a design feature and will be used as a spare rev limiter.

And there is an optional set of six barbecue tongs to statically limit the airflow

No, those are there for picking up the meat once the exhaust has cooked it.

Only thing I would like to see i something I discussed with a fellow Sag owner is
a filter or swirl unit applied to the air coming in from the engine into the box.

At the moment the engine air is recycled into the box using a standard SP6 airbox
and this seems a bit daft given the potential crap that air has in it.

looks nice biggrin so airbox volume has been reduced and trumpet length increased ?
maybe there is some little lbs gain but don´t expect much as from all the other
airboxes too. if my glued taped stuck fixed airbox is falling into pieces would
consider either that or clives version.

Yep a few lbs is all I would expect, what I'm waiting to see is if the guys who developed this box get time in the future to develop it to it's full potential, if this comes to fruition, it will just be a case of replacing the top half of the box!
