Hi Folks,

Quick and boring question: Does anyone know if the silver air intake trim on this car is an optional extra or an after market addition.

Not sure I like it but I'm guessing it is not hard ot too expensive to get black replacements.

I notice the front grills have had the same treatment. Probably aftermarket. I personally would remove and repaint them myself as OE replacements won't be cheap.

It was an option from Porsche. Don't have my soft copy of the 987 Tequipment brochures handy, but fairly sure it was in there. Looks particularly horrid on Speed Yellow cars.

God, its far from ideal on a black car but on Speed Yellow example it must be positively nausea inducing!

Anyway thanks for the info guys. Was just trying to establish if this car is as it left the factory or if the previous owner liked to "tinker" so to speak.

Cheers
