The 650hp turbo V8 seems the only route available even if I would like more 918 derivative just with the NA V8 and minimal electronics. Maybe with a manual box? It is just a dream...Carrera GT is still my favourite car ever, even if it is also due to the fact I drove it while I never drove any of the limited edition Ferrari or other hypercar.

Seriously? That would be brilliant if true but given the modern trend of performance cars it seems far more likely it's going to be an over sized, overweight, absurdly electronics dependent car, albeit one that is an absolute lap time monster.

"Mission: Future Sportscar" IMO can only mean downsizing, fewer cylinders, hybrid, turbos, low CO2 and displacement for countries where tax is an issue (China).
I expect it to be Porsche's version of the BMW i8 using a very tame and watered down version of the 919 engine + hybrid drivetrain.
650bhp 4.0 or 5.0L turbo flat 8 in the form of two facelift-981 engines in one crankcase would be lovely and possibly not even that expensive but I find that very hard to believe due to weight (if it is a hybrid) or emissions (if it is not a hybrid).
I expect it to be Porsche's version of the BMW i8 using a very tame and watered down version of the 919 engine + hybrid drivetrain.

I agree, but a Porsche version of a BMW i8 at £200k is not something that can battle with a 488 at the moment, in performance terms. So it won't be a "Ferrari Fighter", would it be a new radically different sports carr? Maybe something not necessarly quicker than 911 Turbo? I expect it to be Porsche's version of the BMW i8 using a very tame and watered down version of the 919 engine + hybrid drivetrain.

To compete with the 488 etc.... no car at that projected price point (certainly in VAG product group positioning) will be able to do without a vast array of electronics if it's going to have to keep up with the ever ludicrous performance/lap time war going on. Plus it'd have to be quicker than the facelift 991 turbo s (or GT2) to fit in with the price as well as Porsche are usually very careful to keep performnce of their cars at different price points. Can you really see Porsche producing a £200+k car but accepting that it's going to be slower than a cheaper car in their lineup as well as the competition...? Don't get me wrong it would be absolutely brilliant if Porsche did break the trend of modern performance cars by coming up with something old school along the lines of an updated CGT but it seems awfully unlikely to me....
