Garmin Edge 605 maps

Guys

I have an Edge 605 which I have had for years. It has Topo Great Britain V2 installed and I have the disk. But thee level of detail is crap. Just a sandy background with very limited road details in red. Nothing smaller than a B road.

What am I doing wrong. Tried changing all the map detail settings. Even if I deselect the map I still get the same screen.

I've followed the instructions on Talkytoaster to the letter but still no maps?

There is insufficient storage space on the GPS (Edge605) to store the maps so as recommended I've loaded them onto the 4GM micro SD card.

Its as if the Garmin can't see the SD card. Any ideas please?
