When I bought my car, an early S3, the vendor was telling me it was a sort of prototype for a car to be called the S3R that never went into production and as such has a few little differences to most other S's.

A few of these have come to light since I bought it and I think I've just found another one.............

Lightweight pedals smile

No shcensoredt Joe!!!

I would have expected those pedals to be stainless at the very least.

Next thing Phillpot will be cutting lightening holes all over his body to save weight.....

And the car as well wink
Has he really found the holey grail?

In the interests of ultimate weight saving, he'll have to give up Shelsley & Wellesbourne breakfasts. Perhaps he's getting acclimatised for the so-called breakfasts they try to palm us off with in France? frown

No, not reverse irked....."Racing" ....... wink

Other idea is that the expanded mesh pedal grips will do just that and not get slippery when wet?

just tinkering while I had the pedal box out to weld some nuts on the back for the clutch slave master cyl. bolts, the coil and super new bias valve bracket. They can now all be bolted on from "engine side" with no scrabbling under the dash to get nuts on and tightened!

Hopefully never, but I'm prepared if I should ever have to wink

With a full pit crew at the track it isn't a problem, it's at home with no one around to hold the other spanner that these little changes will pay off smile
