It's this weekend! I'll be up early on Saturday the 20th to do roughly 120 miles in the day. All day if needs be! I'm riding from the Midlands to Slough with another 4 guys from work. Was supposed to be more but a few dropped out and then the other contracted a manky elbow. And then blood poisoning. Any excuse.

Fingers crossed it doesn't pee it down for the first half of the day like last year! smile

Did the Dawn Raid from Tidworth to Blackheath a couple of years ago. The ride itself was brilliant fun and I loved cycling through the night. However, the mass event from Blackheath to the Cenotaph was an utter pain in the arse as I was surrounded by people who couldn't ride at more than 4mph, who couldn't balance and who kept crashing into each other, even when stationary. Then we had a mammoth wait at Horse Guards as our organisers had mislaid the van containing all our luggage and it was hours before it was located, driven over, and we could try and make it to Paddington for a train back to Wiltshire.

Never again.

It was a bit of a faff last year. But its a different finale this year. Meeting at Old Windsor and then riding to Windsor race course.

We're 56 miles in at the moment. Lunch breaking.
