Will 22" wheels on a new RR be OK if going offroad. Just fields and tracks for shoots, nothing extreme. The dealer has offered a 21" which don't look as good.

Define 'extreme'... wink

Get a second set of small rims, preferably with narrow tyres. Not sure what options you have for ATs on the RaRo yet.

I've got 22s on my L405 vogue, factory turbine wheels.

Works off road fine, not that I've done extreme just fields and a bit of mud.

Ask yourself, will you look more of a prat with 1" smaller wheels, or stuck in the mud outside the shoot hut in your £80k Range Rover whilst the beaters all drive past in their Suzuki Jimnys?

Unless you're going to fit offroad tyres you'll not get stuck any worse with 22s than 20s.

Its the damage aspect to the wheels and tyres you need to look out for. Gentle stuff you'll be fine on 22s, but if the depth of the mud is much more than the depth of the tyre I suspect you'll be getting scratched rims at the least.

Then you've got to factor in sticky out and sharp stones on the sidewalls.

I've used mine offroad on 22s for over a year and its been fine, not got anywhere near stuck, but I haven't exactly been going green laning either!
