  • * BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO DELETE THIS POST, PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A SELF PROMOTION POST AS I AM OFFERING NOTHING MORE THAN A THANK YOU ***
Hello to all of you,

I thought I would just put a quick post up to say a very BIG thank you to everyone on here that has supported me and our company over the last 10 years!

I still can not believe it has been 10 years already as the time has flown by.

A quick re-cap.....

  • Started in 2005 with a months wages to my name
  • Moved into a very small 1 car workshop on a farm in Mobberley
  • Moved into 1700 Sq Ft workshop in Knutsford 2008
  • We had a baby girl who is now 5! (2010)
  • Moved into an old Subaru dealer workshop located in Nether Alderley, which is 3000 Sq Ft. (November 2014)
  • We had a baby boy who is 11 weeks old ( lots of sleepless nights)
  • Lots of work in there somewhere too!
A real lot has happened in 10 years and I am very thankful we have carried on through a recession and very fortunate to of had a loyal customer base who have helped us grow to where we are today.

I used to come on here quite a lot offering advice and help but other things seem to occupy my time now, well actually two little things!

All the best to all of you and we should hopefully be having an open day later in the year to celebrate properly as I have just run out of time to organise anything.

Mike, Hazel and all of Sports and Classic Ltd want to say thank you very much and heres to the next 10 years!

For some reason my post got deleted. Just wanted to say congratulations and much deserved, you have a solid reputation in the North West. I came to you a few years back now when I needed the over-revs checking on my Cayman R before sale. You kindly squeezed me in the same day and even spoke to the buyer when they phoned asking you out of the blue of the general condition etc; said buyer bought the car later that week.

Good for you sounds like you've been a decent indi hence having a loyal customer base.

Some could take a leaf from your book and learn honesty and integrity

Well done Mike and Hazel. It has always been a pleasure to deal with you and meet up socially at track days etc.
In a world of sharks you have remained a reliable and honest outfit to deal with.

Despite Hazel's love for Cayennes I still trust your judgement and advice.

You deserve continued success and anyone who hammers a 996.1 GT3 the way you do (occasionally through the kitty litter) deserves respect.

I hope the Monk's Cross site does well, will drop in for a coffee soon.

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the kind words.

Unfortunately Hazel has got worse with Cayennes now and has got one of these..

Well done Mike. The way you've expanded the business over the 10 years you must be doing something right! smile

GT3 is not getting much use at all to be honest due to lack of time and I find myself in and out of customers cars at lease 3 days a week now for various faults so not really used it much.

Have had front end painted and had the car detailed with Nanolex products and the results are very good.

Obviously with the way the GT3 market has gone over last two years I am very happy and fortunate to own one of these fantastic cars and have no intention to sell.

Hi Mike,

Congratulations and a big thanks for the PPI on my 996 Black/Black/Manual coupe Turbo S, approximately 10 months ago!!!

Your advice, inspection and the time you made for me on the phone were greatly appreciated!!

Although, I live hundreds of miles away in the South, I would recommend your services to anyone up North !! LOL !!

All the best.

We've not met yet (I look forward to that when I bring my recently acquired 996tt in for service in a few weeks time) but have spoken on the 'phone.

All I can say is that success tends to go to those who earn it. Businesses that give good, fair service will always get recommended. I'd seen your business recommended here and on other fora, but also knew a guy who used you way back when you started (he and I were both sprinting and hillclimbing TVRs at the time) and he spoke highly of you and his car certainly never lacked pace!

IMHO personal recommendation is the very best endorsement. There are other firms out there who also seem to enjoy very well-deserved reputations and clearly location has a lot to do with who we use/recommend but it seems fairly clear who people are happy dealing with.
