solar battery conditioners

Does anyone have experience with the 'battery conditioners' that work by a small solar panel rather than plugging into the mains.

Any recomendations on the one to buy - if any

Hi James,

Yes I have one for my GT3 which plug into the cigarette lighter..........been on there for 2 months and the battery is still in tip top condition.

For the solar 'maintainers' (or the normal mains ones for that matter)to work do you not need to re-wire the cigarette lighter so that it is permanently live ?

I have the Porsche maintainer for my 993. Just plug it into the cig lighter and you're good. No mods necessary.
