Post Interview Advice
Discussion
I attended in an interview today for an internal promotion, which I thought went reasonably well. However, since getting home and thinking about it more, there is one answer in particular that I can think of where I feel I sold myself short, whereas actually I could have mentioned some very relevant experience for particular question answered.
I'm tempted to email the hiring manner to try and add this point for consideration, but not really sure of the etiquette here.
Has anyone done this before and received any feedback?
Has anyone had this from a hiring managers perspective, or what would you think if you did?
All advice welcome please!

I have had similar happen a few times over the years, but I was the interviewer. On one occasion I received an email which pointed out the info the candidate had subsequently thought of, on another occasion the candidate came to see me the next day and we discussed the extra info.
It may not be the case with you, but with both my experiences the extra info did not make much difference as I already knew info on the candidates, I was more interested in how they handled the questions in the interview. However I did think a lot more of the candidate who came to see me, but was not overly impressed with the email approach.

It would unlikely sway me as I and the other members of the interview panel would have already selected the preferred candidate at the end of the interviews, and that decision will have been made on the consideration of a number of inputs, not just the answers to the interview questions. However, I would say that you have nothing to lose by doing so and potentially something to gain. Good luck!
