I have a nice MontBlanc Meisterstück fountain pen that I received as a gift from a previous employer.
The lid is engraved with their company name and I now don't really fancy using it as a publicity tool for them, so what are my options?

Is it possible to fill the engraving with a fine black resin and polish it up to remove all trace of it, or am I going to need to replace the lid?

Seems a shame to not use it, but I really don't want to flash their name around when using it at work.

Buy a new lid, you won't get rid of the engraving using the method you've described

Give Mont Blanc boutique a call. They will give you a price to replace the lid but carry over the cap and clip to save cost. The 'resin' parts are not as expensive as you might think.
