i have one.

great bit of kit - the ability to use any image once converted to Bitmap is impressive.

not had a real chance to use it to its full potential yet - not easy to use without help.

luckily where i live, once it gets dark i have loads of space and unusual places to use. just need to get the motivation to go out and run around at night.

its a bit of kit that is worth its weight in gold - but needs someone to go all out and take it seriously.

funny you should say that.

my car that Kalid Bari (PH's resident car photography master) took pics of a few months back. not with PS specifically but with a very similar bit of kit.

i did take a pic with my car and the M-sport badge graphic next to it but it looked a bit naff.

Funnily enough; that's exactly what I was thinking of getting one of those for. Advertising branding behind vehicles..

Mmmmm will I won't I. Might have to add it to the frivolous purchases thread...

wex have them for just over £300 but i got mine directly from bitbanger. had to wait a month, mostly in customs here, but came in at roughly £300 inc the additional lens pack.

when you download the free image packs from the PS website, you have around 60 different images to use, or converting them in photoshop is pretty easy.

Cheers. Very interesting results. Nice how it interacts with the car. Exterior reflections and the show through on the windows.

I suppose the temptation to overuse it is a risk, but there are definitely some great results to be had.

You are in bucks - feel free to pop down and have a play. I'm in Stanmore.

The chances of finding the time are very slim I'm afraid, but that's a really kind offer Pidsy, thank you for that.

Top man.

clap

get yourself a spare SD card now, download the image packs from the PS website and get prepped.

worth noting that you can actually use it half size too - just move the battery pack onto the same half as the controller.

takes a bit of practice to get images properly upright and your speed but you'll be up and running in no time!

The photographic equivalent of an ice-cream maker. Nice effect, tomorrow's electronic chip wrapper.

Absolutely.

Great fun to play with though!

Not sure the Light Painting World Alliance would agree with you.

Finally got home and decided to have a play this evening.

Keeping constant is key it seems - and walking on a slight bumpy ground brings out nuances in the text / lines.

Anyway - had to be done..

Yes they're my bare feet as it's not quite dark enough but it works well. Looking forward to having some fun.

I just had a look on their website and watched the videos.

Absolutely amazing but of kit, especially with the ability to write logos and names in the air. I can see commercial applications for that.

But for the hobby/amateur photographer, I would probably use it 10 times then be bored of it??

Edit: Sod it... I want one smile
