Tamora to T350
Discussion
I cannot imagine there'd be much difference when sat behind the steering wheel, as both are more or less identical from the seats forward. (From inside)
Perhaps (and arguably) nicer to look at in the garage/on the drive...
Know what you mean, though, it seems that every weekend, after a nice and sunny Monday to Friday, it pisses down!

I did drive one T350 last year with Nitrons and to be honest I couldn't tell a huge difference between the two. Quite a few of the Tamoras I drove were fitted with the original factory dampers that seemed softer from memory. I guess the convertibles should flex more anyway given the structural differences.
My Tam has Nitrons and Mat Smith is currently looking at the set-up as i've mentioned the ride is already very firm for my liking. Coming from a 997 the PASM was a very nice option to have!

Try and get an extended drive. All things being equal, the T350 will feel firmer and quite twitchy. It may be too nervous for you?
Im going to disagree. I can't see how you suggest it's twitchier than a Tamora. Get the car setup properly it's absolutely fantastic to drive as would a Tamora be, albeit the obvious rigidity benefits of the solid body are going to be an advantage. I've driven poorly setup t350's and properly and they are night and day. Simple focus on setup.Just get a T350 they are epic

No need to be quite so rude there as Steve was only offering an opinion! The 2 cars share the same chassis and suspension set up and barr the slight extra rigidity form the hard top (Very slight as it's the chassis that provides the bulk of it) then the 2 cars pretty much handle identically. You will get slight nuances that are car specific depending on the geo set up and suspension choice on each individual car but it will mostly come down to preference on looks alone.
Thanks Tony, you are my hero, await your abuse! The immediate resorting to insults is pretty lame. Probably the result of owning every TVR, such a stressful existence
Anyway, Tony your spot on with your comments
On a separate note had a chat with S&D today, god they are mega enthusiastic about paint, your cars in good hands mate, can't wait to see it

Didn't think I was being rude or abusive, just stating facts.
Half decent attempt at sarcasm though, well done

To confirm, my view is the T350 is in no way twitchier than a Tamora. In fact I'll go further and suggest it handles better by the pure fact that with everything else being equal its other advantage is the stiffer body brought about by not being a soft top. I'm genuinely interested to find out how you think that's not the case.
Now try and respond nicely

Body is not a stressed part and therefore contributes very little. The cage does add stiffness however, and it's that stiffness that makes the car less complaint and more.... twitchier.
Drove back to back T350c and Tamora for 2 years road and track. Both factory set-up (properly done, both similar mileage both cars standard in regard to suspension, wheels, tyres and un-sprung weight.
Noticeable difference.
T Car order of ability out of the box below (IMO)and not having a pop at your cars (honest...)
Tamora
Sagaris
T350
Tuscan (gets better from Mk 1 to 2.1/2 but still not as good as the others in the T family due to limited suspension travel)
Get rid of the under steer in the slower steering Sagaris and it moves to the top of that order. Castor and camber changes will sort the Sag, cheap mods.

you forgot the most important factor, the "nut behind the wheel"

There do seem to be quite a few of them out there, all too eager to tell us how great they are and relieve you of a wad of cash - only to be presented with bitter disappointment...
And lets face it, it can't be any worse than the job done by the last set of cowboys!
Will be great to see the results!
