What is a good look

As I spend most of life wearing either suits or jodphurs or racesuits, I have a distinct hole in my wardrobe.
So what do you think is a good look?
Wondering if I am now out of date rofl
Very difficult to say without knowing what you wear now, what you look like, body shape, hair colour, and most importantly - what look you want to have!
Time to go and have a damn good spend I reckon.

And you expected sensible replies from a bunch of car nutters? What Not To Wear could probably just take pictures of the lot of us and say 'there - just don't look like that!'
My wife's in a similar position to you, except instead of suits she has a whole load of clothes that are practical in a lab. There are some quite funky things at Jigsaw that she'd like to buy, but never has the time to wear them between work and horses.
I guess it all depends how old you are, and what sort of impression you're trying to make.
Has anyone seen that ****ing scary '10 years younger' programme? Now that is a radical makeover where the 'volunteer' spends half the program with bruising and scars from surgery.

The problem is getting old. Too old really to wear the tiny tops and black trousers uniform anymore. I don't know if I'm too old to show cleavage or whether the covered up look is in.
My oh is always saying that I dress rather old
Gahh I am a fashion disater area
Coco, you're what? 26/27?
Dress sexy, fell good about yourself!
Just because youre married does'nt mean you have to dress old and frumpy!

A classic cut skirt with knee high boots.
Cleavage is good, just make sure it's supported correctly.
Boots don't do it for me, (not that Coco H is going to dress for me!)
Smart Business skirt and jacket.. with a blouse.. and some shoes of some kind!
I go all weak at the knees! :dribble:

Believe me, how much flesh should be shown is NOT an age thing! It's how good it looks on show and, based on that, how good you feel about showing it.
Tiny tops and whatever those jeans are called that end halfway down your arse are not for "young" women, they're for women with bodies that are good enough to be displayed in that fashion. Unfortunately, that means about 1% of the women who actually wear them. I've lost count of the number of girls I've seen in little tops and half mast jeans with rolls of fat lolloping around in between. Cover it up!
Conversely, if you've got a fab chassis, go ahead!
. As has been suggested, it's about what you feel good in. If you've got a Kylie bod but no confidence, you're probably still going to be better off in covered-up mode. It'd be a bit of a shame though!
Notwithstandaing all of the above, age does play a role but apparently a gentleman doesn't ask.

They managed to get Jeremy Clarkson, David Baddiel to slip into something man sized.
