Egr system 2010 Audi A3 Tdi CR
Discussion
I wonder if anyone can tell me which areas of this system need attention, ive searched online and it seems to suggest an egr valve and a filter on some engines.
I had a limp home situation on the weekend coming to the end of a 4 hour motorway run. Car was fine the next day on another 2 hour run so im guessing an egr code may have been logged, i have not scanned it yet.
Im not too sure on my engine code but its the 2.0 140 bhp engine, any advice on this would be great.
Pictures suggest the egr valve itself is at the front of the engine, car has done 34k so id like to clean the valve and continue to do so to stop any problems.
Thanks in advance.

I'm sure there was a post on here from somebody that replaced the EGR valve on a CR140 DIY and they said it was a bit of a nightmare.
along the lines of 4-5 hours labour for the job plus £300+ for the new part.
Labour time isnt really an issue as i will be doing it but there seem to be mixed reports on where the egr valve actually is. I thought it was at the front of the engine.along the lines of 4-5 hours labour for the job plus £300+ for the new part.
