Noted in the 10th edition back in April
it looks to be the swan song for the DB9 before the new DB11 next year

looks nice as a final edition ...so long as you can change the leather on those seats ...yuk
yes they do look rather vibrant in that image, although less in your face in the flesh! I think it's a V8S with lightweight seats, Spectral Blue accents and Cobalt blue exterior, so the colour mix probably works

I'm being hyper pedantic here but it's not quite the final edition. It is instead the revised/upgraded DB9, until it's replacement with the all new model, on which there will be based at least one special edition...........watch this space - the clue to the edition will be in the price :-)All that horsepower and torque....and they manage to get those "whimpy" results in the speed/acceleration department.
Yes, I know its a GT and there are always going to be faster cars and AM is not just about speed/acceleration..... but come on!
My 18 year older Maranello is still faster, and thats a GT too.
Im not asking for crazy things, just some improvement to make it a bit faster would be nice....

That's why the replacement will be on a different planet performancewise. Meanwhile they can't get too close to new vanquish, presumably hence not fitting the 8speeder. Internally, Aston view the next 18 mnths- 2 yrs as survival/treading water, until the new models come out, which they are all very very excited aboutYes, I know its a GT and there are always going to be faster cars and AM is not just about speed/acceleration..... but come on!

so they assume people are a giant turd and will buy this car....
Well for all the criticism one can level at DB9, I wasn't alone in thinking it was the best VFM car in the range before the recent updates so no reason not to maintain that viewIt's still a fab GT with enough performance for most and enough differences with Merc S class coupe & Bentley Continental, the most obvious competitors IMHO, for people to make a choice. Ferraris F12 is almost twice the price and so it's amazing performance isn't really relevant - it's substantially more expensive than latest Vanquish, let alone DB9
Yes the F12 predecessors were fast, but they aren't quite as GTesque IMO as DB9, fab cars though they are. Plus a decent used one now, which will be a good few yrs old, isn't far off the price of a nearly new DB9
Im not saying its a bad car, its probably a great car.
Im just tired of these incremental improvements in the power and transmission department.
Ever since the Vanquish S (2004), we're still at around the 520 bhp mark.
Hell, we even went backwards for a while with the V12V and DBS and DB9.
I understand the limbo state theyre in now. They need to survive and sell cars until the new generation shows up.
But you cant really call this anything more than some lipstick slappin' on an old hog.
Will it sell? Im sure it will, but I for one can't be tempted knowing that there will be a much better car coming in the next 2 years.
In the meantime....I guess some people have the funds to drive this thing until the real deal shows up and hop on over.
